EXPERIENCE
A founder of Thermal Remediation Services, Inc. (TRS) Mr. Fleming is responsible for leading technology commercialization through the development of new project opportunities and the growth of company sales. Mr. Fleming has worked in the environmental consulting and remediation industry for 16 years as a marketing, sales and business development professional. He has directed the business development and marketing and sales efforts of startup companies as well as large national environmental science and engineering firms.
Mr. Fleming's experience includes creating and executing marketing campaigns, developing leads and closing sales for environmental consulting and remediation projects with local, state, and federal government (DoD and DoE) as well as private and Fortune 500 clients. He has successfully developed and sold projects for in situ soil and groundwater remediation that have deployed soil vapor extraction, multi-phase extraction, air sparging, bioremediation, electrical resistance heating, and chemical oxidation.
In addition to his marketing and sales expertise, Mr. Fleming has a technical background in environmental health sciences. He co-authored and published several technical documents and developed computer programs to statistically analyze public comments for the EPA Region 10 and King County Solid Waste. While employed by the University of Washington's Department of Environmental Health and Safety, he developed a computer program to provide Material Safety Data Sheets for over 1,000 chemicals for all UW Departments.
While working for the former Washington State Game Department, Mr. Fleming's research on secondary lead shot poisoning in bald eagles lead to the elimination of hunting avian wildlife with lead shot in western Washington and the subsequent introduction of steel shot hunting zones in eight western Washington counties.
